Claim room for your Sanctum
Start by claiming the area where you want to build. In a player’s preview, claiming the area as Domain let them build inside it. Choose a location where you’ll have enough room for the throne and treasure before you commit to the layout.
Build a throne room
Build a throne room within the claimed space. The preview player identifies that room as the Sanctum. That gives you a practical order to follow: claim your buildable space, prepare the room, and make the throne the centerpiece.
Keep the throne and treasure together
The official Malignus press kit describes a Dread Lich on the throne in a Sanctum among treasure, a phylactery, and bound skeletons. Use the throne and treasure as a starting plan for the core room. The screenshot caption shows one example of the layout, so choose the rest of the room around your own boss and available space.
