Defend the approach to your treasure

Choose a corridor adventurers must cross to reach the hoard, and use it as your first line of defense. The official Malignus press kit documents corridors where gas and spinning blades hit adventurers before they can reach the hall. Pick a route where you can tell which trap is meant to protect each stretch.

Check that the trigger is wired to the trap

Use the trap’s wiring to check what will fire. Mossbomb’s interface example shows a Pressure Plate linked to a Dart Thrower. Start with a connection you can identify, then inspect each trigger as you build out the corridor. An adventurer who gets through one section should still have another defended space ahead.

Keep a second line inside the hall

Assign minions to cover the treasure hall and keep your Boss ready for adventurers who pass the traps. In the developer’s Baleful Eye example, an adventurer reaches the hall while gas fills the corridor behind him and minions wait inside. That layout shows why it helps to prepare a defense on both sides of the door.
